Reverend Valarie McGee is a Universal Foundation for Better Living Ordained minister, licensed Universal Foundation for Better Living /JCI teacher.  She is part of the teaching ministry of Transformation Empowerment Centers of Great Lakes.  She joined the support team of ‘N The Spirit in order make a difference and give others the principles that have transformed her own life.  Her passion is teaching the Truth Principles that she learned under Reverend Dr. Johnnie Colemon.  Reverend Valarie also founded Teens Praying with Teens, an online prayer ministry developed for teens.  Reverend Valarie is also passionate about glorifying God through her singing.  Reverend Valarie says, “While the music lifts the singer up, it also lifts the listener to new heights, taking them beyond the appearances of life.”

Health Awareness

Ms. Carol Ann Jones started with N' The Spirit in 2007.  Through Bally's Health Club and Department of Aging, she earned the certification of Alliance Rehabilitation.  Aerobics doesn't only benefit the body, but the whole person, mind body and soul.  Carol Ann says, " My mother is always in my spirit she passed away from being overweight and a host of other medical problems for that reason I try to eat healthy, live healthy  and keep a good outlook on life and keep her spirit alive within."   My philosophy on life is to " Be EXCELLENT to each other! "  I love to sing, dance, swim and to motivate others on living a healthy lifestyle."      


Reverend Shirley Lawson joined the support team of  N’ The Spirit in 2003.  She has earned a Bachelor of Art Degree in Organizational Leadership/ Communication from Trinity International University.  She is also an Ordained & Staff Minister of Christ Universal Temple & Minister Director of The Great Lakes Transformational Centers. 

Reverend Shirley says, “I remember going to N' The Spirit's open house and as I walked through the rooms, I felt a call that was overwhelming to teach spiritual principles there. I thank God for making that happen as He did. I believe that there is a "Spiritual Component" to recovery and I wanted to empower the ladies with knowledge of their spiritual greatness.  This will help them to live better lives.  Reverend Shirley is passionate about teaching, ministering, the healing arts and writing.
